How to Achieve your Dream BP Goal FASTER without knowing where to start

Did you do the Day 1 Task of setting two Blood Pressure Goals?

Refer to our last lesson titled, ‘Do you have a Blood Pressure Control Goal?

Now you should have TWO SETS OF GOALS

  1. The one you believe you can achieve.
  2. And your true Dream BP if you had ‘superpowers’.

NB: Keep numbers and goals very well because we want to help you hit BOTH, even if you don’t know where to start.

However, we will START WITH GOAL NUMBER ONE – THE ONE YOU KNOW YOU CAN HIT (but haven’t yet hit at all).

Now today is all about hitting this Goal even though you never knew  “WHERE TO START

I remember when I had to write WAEC several years ago (exams to test everything I learned in high school). I honestly wanted to ace the exams but didn’t know where to start.

  • Past questions, 
  • Textbooks,
  • Class notes, jotters
  • Extra lessons
  • Practicals, etc.

I was confused too! You may think it’s unrelated, but trust me at the time, I thought it was the hardest exam of my life (I didn’t know I would see tougher exams in Pharmacy school…lol), that confusion led to a lot of fear.

Especially when we heard that for over 10 years before my set, my secondary school had stopped producing straight-A results for students, Like, what the heck!!!???

Here I was envisioning that for myself. Like? Who was I? But I vividly recall this hot Saturday afternoon decision I took that I strongly believe, Helped me walk away from that school straight 9 A’s 10 months later!

Yes! You read that right!  Straight 9 A’s.We revived the ‘school’s reputation’ with that. Now let’s fix your reputation too, You’re hitting your FIRST GOAL too. We need you to do what I did that Hot Saturday afternoon, I sat down and did some soul searching and developed a solid ACTION PLAN that I followed to the letter, Let’s get you that too (If you’ve been on our Workshops or Challenges in the past, we created one with you. Don’t know if you followed it. Still, if you’re here then you need to do this exercise.

Where to Start is in Writing out Your Plan

Nobody can build a house without first of all, going to an Architect to design a plan for him, then taking that plan to a structural engineer to design the structural plan outlining the reinforcements, foundation plans, floor plans with strengths, etc (I know because my Dad is a structural engineer and I grew up seeing all manner of structural designs and hearing all the lingo and jargons of cantilever, reinforcement, and co).

How To Draw Your Plan

TO Draw Your Plan we start from,

  1. Your Realistic Goal Plan
  2. Write out your Realistic Goal and answer the following questions
  • Why haven’t you hit this goal?

You already set this as a ‘realistic goal’ which means you know this is Doable, but still, you have not done it? Why not?

For most people, it is not that you don’t know MANY of the things you should be doing, but the problem is NOT DOING ANY

So, answer the following three questions

  • Why haven’t you hit this Goal?

What have been your Resistance Points? (what has been stopping you? E.g fear of exercising and fainting, no time, no motivation, lack of belief that what you do can work, no discipline, wanting a quick fix, procrastination, etc

Write out ALL the things you believe you should be doing if you must still hit this goal 

Write out the Date when you will start doing them. 

Hint: Start Today! Enough of the procrastination.

Action Brings Results

In my Action Plan for those years, I decided I would study at least 4 hours each day, evening prep time 8-11 pm, and then wake up earlier each day at about 4:30 am and read for another hour. Can you wake up earlier to fit in even if just 15 minutes of exercise every morning?

Work it out on Paper and get to work IMMEDIATELY. Hit reply to this email and tell me what you did today in line with your goal and NEW ACTION PLAN

You didn’t know ‘where to start’, But we have shown you WHERE TO START. START BY TAKING ACTION!. Start from the lowest hanging fruit – your Realistic Goal

  • Outline all your resistance points
  • Outline what you will do to overcome them 

Start doing those things IMMEDIATELY

Simple as that!
